Radix Ventures invests €1.2M in HEALANT® to bring self-healing tire technology to market

Radix Ventures invests €1.2M in HEALANT® to bring self-healing tire technology to market

Brussels, Belgium / Warsaw, Poland - July 7, 2026

The round is led by Radix Ventures and Entrevest, and will accelerate HEALANT®'s move from validated technology into commercial launch. HEALANT®, the deep-tech spin-off of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) developing a self-healing polymer layer that makes tires puncture-proof, today announced it has raised €4 million in new funding.

Punctures remain one of the most persistent and costly failure points in mobility, causing downtime, waste, and safety risks across cycling, automotive, and industrial applications. HEALANT®'s self-healing polymer layer heals punctures automatically, extending tire life and reducing waste: a step toward more durable and sustainable mobility.

The new capital will fund HEALANT®'s commercial launch, the scale-up of its manufacturing process, and the build-out of its go-to-market and partnership operations.

"We built HEALANT® because we believed a better material could solve one of mobility's oldest problems:punctures. The science is solid, the market need is real, and the timing is right: this round is what turns that conviction into a product. We are building a platform that changes how industry thinks about material durability, waste, and life cycle. Raising from Radix and Entrevest is a strong signal, not just for HEALANT®, but for what European deep tech can achieve when science and commercial ambition come together from day one." - Simon Beckers, CEO and founder, HEALANT®
"HEALANT® ticks every box of our investment strategy: deep tech at its finest, grounded in over a decade of fundamental polymer research, with genuine environmental impact built into the product rather than bolted on as a narrative. What sets them apart is the rare combination of a business-oriented founder-engineer who understands both the science and the market, and a go-to-market that is refreshingly straightforward: a better material, solving a real and well-understood problem, with clear and measurable benefits for the customer. We are also proud that HEALANT® chose a Polish fund as their lead investor: a signal that Central European venture capital is becoming a partner of choice for world-class deep-tech founders, well beyond our home market." - Wojciech Ratymirski, Partner at Radix Ventures
"HEALANT® is exactly the kind of company Entrevest was created for: a Belgian technology-driven scale-up renewing a classic sector with a tangible, scalable, and sustainable solution. The technology is scientifically well-founded, the market need is clear, and the societal relevance is significant. As an investor, we want to bring not only capital but also help build the commercial acceleration, the right partnerships, and the international scalability of HEALANT®." - Niels Diepvens, Founding Partner, Entrevest

This operation benefits from support from the European Union under the InvestEU Fund.
