Bridging Research and Venture Capital: Radix Ventures Shares Deep Tech Commercialization Expertise

Turning scientific breakthroughs into investable deep tech ventures requires more than cutting-edge research. It calls for a strong understanding of intellectual property, commercialization strategies, and investor expectations.
On 30 September and 2 October, Dr. DJ Nag, Venture Partner at Radix Ventures, led IP Masterclass workshops for professors from the University of Warsaw as part of the University of Warsaw – Rutgers University IP & Commercialization Program.
The hands-on agenda covered research-market fit, IP strategy and valuation, and licensing negotiations. Paweł Bochniarz, General Partner at Radix Ventures, also brought the investor perspective, sharing insights into what makes a university spin-out ready for deep tech investment.
The program also included a study visit to Amazemet, a Radix Ventures portfolio company specializing in Metal Additive Manufacturing, new material development, special powder atomization, and printed parts postprocessing. Accompanied by DJ Nag, the professors had the opportunity to learn about this Warsaw University of Technology spin-out and how it bridges cutting-edge materials science with industrial applications.
At Radix Ventures, we are committed to sharing our know-how and experience in commercializing deep tech innovations with the broader ecosystem, helping researchers, founders, and partners build stronger pathways from lab to market.
Thank you to everyone involved for the valuable discussions and shared insights on turning research breakthroughs into real-world impact!
